Dimitra started her “career” as a speaker in 1999… somewhat off!
She was asked, within the framework of a World Congress of New Flower Crops where the top scientists from all over the world took part in, to present the scientific results of a European Project… And she didn’t manage to deliver it successfully. She read everything from the slides, she didn’t knew so well the topic, she didn’t manage to finish in the allocated time… (you want more?) She was afraid, she was inexperienced, she didn’t possess the art of presenting, the art of Idea Pitching!
But, despite the disaster, she was hell-bent to overcome this fear, the fear of the public exposure, which is the No 2 fear of all people after dead. A fear which has many consequences!
Since then, May 1999, she has been acting as speaker at many national and international conferences, meetings and workshops. She has developed hundreds of lectures/speeches and power point presentations in order to transfer new ideas, by integrated various scientific fields that can support people in their business activities, to find their Vantage Angle and to implement their ideas effectively.
During all these years she has cooperated with the Greek National Agricultural Foundation, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with the Ministry of Rural Development and Food and with many other public and private carriers such as the Technical Champers of Greece, Informatics and Computer Engineering Association, Northern Greece Department, Development Agencies of Greece, STAMP Festival, the cooperative platform AgroDesign and with many Centers of Vocational Training etc. Furthermore, she has cooperated with the National Agricultural Center of Egypt, with the Ministry of Development of Egypt, with international organizations such as Botanic Garden Conservation International (BGCI), Planta Europa and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Finally, she has cooperated with many enterprises and startups.
